Professor Irem Dikmen is a Professor of Construction Engineering and Management and the School Director of Internationalisation at the University of Reading. Her research focuses on project risk management, climate resilience in the built environment, digital technologies and AI, and mega-project delivery. She has supervised numerous postgraduate projects on AI, IoT, NLP, dispute prediction, and energy performance modelling. Professor Dikmen’s work integrates systems thinking and digital tools to improve decision-making in complex construction projects. She holds a PhD, MSc, and BSc in Civil Engineering from Middle East Technical University.
