Welcome to IPCMC 2026

Dear Colleagues,

The 9th International Project and Construction Management Conference, IPCMC 2026, will be organized by Yıldız Technical University (YTU), Middle East Technical University (METU), and Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU), and hosted by Hasan Kalyoncu University, on 16–18 October 2026 in Gaziantep, Turkey.

The conference theme is “Rethinking the Built Environment through Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The theme is chosen deliberately considering the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in reshaping project delivery, decision-making processes, and construction practices, as well as addressing global challenges such as climate change, resource efficiency, and sustainable development.

This conference is aimed at fostering dialogue between researchers, industry professionals, and other stakeholders to discuss and develop innovative approaches, methods, technologies, and strategies for advancing project and construction management under the new paradigm of digital transformation and sustainability.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following areas:

The conference aims to facilitate interdisciplinary integration and international cooperation among academicians, industry professionals, and researchers in the field of project and construction management to share their latest research findings, experiences, and prospects. IPCMC 2026 is expected to serve as a forum especially for early-stage researchers to discuss their research ideas, preliminary findings, and to develop new academic networks. The conference also promotes future collaboration between researchers and industry professionals to enhance current knowledge and develop novel solutions for industry challenges.

In addition, IPCMC 2026 will, for the first time, feature Doctoral Workshops designed to support PhD candidates and early-stage researchers. These workshops will provide a platform for participants to present their ongoing research, receive constructive feedback from distinguished scholars, and engage in in-depth discussions on methodology, theory, and practice. The workshops also aim to foster academic networking, enhance research and publication skills, and create a supportive environment for developing future collaborations.

Well-known keynote speakers from academia and the construction industry will be invited to share their insights and foresights. As a tradition of IPCMC conferences, awards will be presented to the best papers.
