Social Program
As part of IPCMC 2026, two optional excursions will be organized so that conference participants could find the opportunity of experiencing the historical, cultural and gastronomic highlights of Gaziantep:
Tour 1: Gaziantep Cultural Tour — Saturday, 17 October 2026
Tour 2: Göbeklitepe Tour — Sunday, 18 October 2026
In order to facilitate the transportation, museum admissions and other logistics, we need to know in advance the number of people that will join each tour. Please review the below proposed programs and confirm your attendance through the registration form.
Tour 1 — Gaziantep Cultural Tour (Optional)
Date: Saturday, 17 October 2026

Departure point: Hasan Kalyoncu University Campus
Transportation: Buses provided by the Conference Organization — free of charge for all participants, including accompanying persons

Participants will travel by bus from Hasan Kalyoncu University Campus to the Zeugma Mosaic Museum .
Museum admission is not included in the conference registration fee and must be paid by everyone including conference participants and accompanying persons alike. Turkish citizens will be able to enter the museum with a museum card purchase at a cost of 200 ₺ and a foreign national's entrance fee is €12.

At 17:00, the group will depart by bus for Bakırcılar Çarşısı (Coppersmiths' Bazaar).
- Bakırcılar Çarşısı — Free Time
Participants will have free time in and around Bakırcılar Çarşısı to:
- Explore the bazaar and surrounding historic streets
- Shop for local products, handicrafts and souvenirs
- Taste the famous traditional Gaziantep cuisine
- Visit landmarks such as Tahmis Coffee House and Traditional Kebap Houses
- Otherwise spend the time as they prefer
At 20:00, the bus will depart from a [meeting point to be announced] and drop participants at a [central location in the city center, which will be announced later].
Tour 2 — Göbeklitepe Tour (Optional) ( https://muze.gov.tr/muze-detay?SectionId=SGT01&DistId=SGT )
Date: Sunday, 18 October 2026
Departure: [Morning — exact time to be announced]
Departure point: Hasan Kalyoncu University Campus
Transportation: Buses provided by the Conference Organization — free of charge for all participants, including accompanying persons
Participants will travel by bus from Hasan Kalyoncu University Campus to Göbeklitepe. After the visit, the bus will return to Gaziantep and drop participants back at the campus [return time to be announced].
Admission to the Göbeklitepe site is not included in the conference registration fee and must be paid separately by everyone joining the tour — conference participants and accompanying persons alike. Turkish citizens will be able to enter the museum with a museum card purchase at a cost of 200 ₺, and a foreign national's entrance fee is €20.

Note: Exact departure/return times and meeting points will be sent to registered participants once finalized. Please note that Göbeklitepe Museum is located at the neighboring city of Şanlıurfa. The one-way travel time is approximately 2.5 hours. The round-trip travel time is almost 6 hours. Therefore, participants are strongly advised to plan/check their return flights times, if they are planning to depart from Gaziantep, on 18 October, Sunday.
Tour Registration
Registration for each tour will be collected separately, in order to maintain a smooth organization.
Accompanying persons
Accompanying persons who are not registered to the conference may still join the tour, provided that they should also be registered for the tour — their participation must be declared on the registration form so that transport and capacity can be planned accurately.
Transportation is free of charge for everyone, including accompanying persons. The only cost is the site admission fee (Zeugma Museum for Tour 1, Göbeklitepe for Tour 2), which every visitor must pay— conference participants and accompanying persons alike.
Important: Due to limited capacity, accompanying persons must also register in advance. We regret to inform thar anyone (participants /accompanying persons) who fail to complete registration forms may not be permitted to join the tours.
